RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW), North America’s leading provider of transit bus and sustainable transportation solutions, is proud to announce it has been awarded a contract by Mountain Line to perform a refurbishment of two Gillig 35-foot hybrid transit buses.
The project includes a midlife refurbishment designed to extend vehicle service life, enhance passenger comfort, and support Mountain Line’s long-term fleet sustainability goals. The buses, model years 2007 and 2009 Gillig Low Floor, will undergo mechanical, electrical, and interior upgrades at CCW’s Headquarters located in Riverside, California.
Major Scope Highlights Include:
-Engine Replacement: Installation of a Cummins ReCon ISB 6.7 diesel engine -Hybrid propulsion system overhaul: overhaul of Drive unit, Energy storage system and hybrid inverters -Interior Flooring Replacement: Removal of existing flooring and installation of new Altro commercial-grade transit flooring throughout the bus -Interior LED Lighting Upgrade: Conversion of all interior fluorescent lighting to modern LED fixtures -Exterior LED Lighting Upgrade: Replacement of all exterior lights with new LED systems -Passenger & Driver Area Improvements: New RECARO driver’s seat and refurbished passenger seating -Structural, Suspension & Brake Overhaul: Complete front and rear suspension rebuilds -HVAC & Electrical Systems: Full HVAC service with rebuilt components and new hoses

Under this agreement, CCW will refurbish three (3) 2016 New Flyer 35-foot buses to extend their service life and enhance passenger comfort.
The refurbishment will include a complete mechanical and cosmetic overhaul. Each bus will receive a rebuilt engine and transmission, a full brake and suspension inspection with component replacements as needed, new flooring and interior panels, reupholstered seating, and upgraded LED lighting. Additional enhancements include a rebuilt wheelchair ramps, and comprehensive electrical and HVAC servicing to restore the buses to peak performance.
