Core Transit Expands Fleet with Eco-Friendly Hybrid Buses from Complete Coach Works

RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW), the nation’s leading provider of transit bus and sustainable transportation solutions, is excited to announce a new contract with Core Transit for the leasing of three 2010 40-foot Gillig Hybrid Buses.

Following the contract award earlier this year for the refurbishment of two 2008 40-ft Gillig buses, Core Transit, formally known as ECO Transit, has again chosen CCW for leased buses from CCW’s sister company Shuttle Bus Leasing (SBL). This new contract involves the leasing of hybrid electric buses equipped to meet the demands of Core Transit’s operations.

Each of the three buses is equipped with the Allison EP40 Hybrid system. Additional features include a Thermo King air conditioning system and a Lift-U wheelchair lift, enhancing accessibility and passenger comfort.

RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW), the nation’s leading provider of transit bus and sustainable transportation solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Mark Hollenbeck to the position of Business Development Manager reporting the company’s Chief Commercial Officer Patrick Scully. With an impressive 27-year career in the transit industry, Hollenbeck brings a wealth of experience and expertise across manufacturing, OEM sales, publishing, media, trade shows, and software.

Mark began his career in the transit industry with Metrotrans Corporation in bus sales before transitioning to the publishing side of the industry. He served as Associate Publisher for both School Bus Fleet and Metro Magazine under Bobit Business Media for 20 years. His leadership extended to the BusCon annual trade show, where he played a pivotal role in showcasing industry trends and developing networking opportunities.

In 2020, Mark returned to bus sales and became the West Coast Sales Director at Proterra, focusing on driving growth and supporting the adoption of electric vehicle (EV) technology. Most recently, he served as Sales Director at WideSense, a leading software company specializing in transit solutions and EV fleet transitions.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Mark holds a degree from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga. He is a proud father of three boys, two of whom are undergraduate students at Oregon State University in Corvallis.

Complete Coach Works (CCW) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26. For the purpose of this DBE Program, CCW proposes to set its overall goal utilizing all information available to it, including information available in CCW’s area of manufacturing operation and comments received from the public in response to this notice.

CCW has set a goal of 1.00% participation in DOT-assisted contracts FY2024. This proposed goal and its methodology are available for public inspection during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) at CCW’s corporate office located at 1863 Service Court, Riverside, CA 92507 for 30 days following the date of this notice. CCW and the FTA will accept comments on the goal for 45 days from the date of this notice. The goal may be adjusted depending upon comments received.

This delivery is yet another important achievement in the 30-year collaboration between CCW and Roberts Hawaii. Over the past three decades, CCW has consistently provided high-quality transportation solutions to Roberts reinforcing a strong partnership between the two companies.

This recent contract involved the sale of three pre-owned 40-foot Gillig low floor buses. The buses underwent our thorough presale checklist including but not limited to steam cleaning of the engines and undersides, with detailed checks of all belts, brakes, suspension and powertrain components, full fluid and filter changes, and driver seat rebuilds to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Each bus now features a fresh, single-color white paint scheme enhancing both aesthetic appeal and brand visibility. The buses were also customized to fit Roberts needs to include perimeter style seating and luggage racks.

Everett Transit Orders Five Rebuilt Transit Buses from Complete Coach Works 

RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW), North America’s leading provider of transit bus and sustainable transportation solutions, is pleased to announce the sale of five rebuilt transit buses to Everett Transit.  The sale, processed through the Washington State Transit Bus Cooperative Purchasing Schedule, marks Everett’s first bus acquisition under CCW’s WA statewide contract.

The sale is for five 2008 35′ Gillig buses with a significant amount of upfitting including:  reupholstered passenger and driver seats, QStraint ADA positions, new flooring, a new camera system, frameless windows, updated mirrors, updated suspension, bike racks, and new paint, along with Everett livery decals.

Developed in accordance with FTA Guidelines and section 3019 of the FAST Act, the WA State Bus Cooperative Purchasing Schedule offers participating agencies a simplified procurement pathway for refurbished, repowered, and rebuilt transit buses from CCW. By partnering with CCW, municipalities like Everett Transit can expedite the delivery and purchasing processes, reduce administrative overhead, and focus resources on delivering transit services to their constituents.
